Faith & Sage began with a mother's love, but its roots go much deeper—back to my own childhood.
Growing up with dermatitis, I knew firsthand that skin conditions affect more than just the surface. I remember the discomfort, the insecurities, and the moments of bullying that made me feel different because of my skin.
For years, I didn't realize how deeply some of those experiences had stayed with me.
It wasn't until I became a mother and watched my own children struggle with eczema and sensitive skin that those memories began resurfacing.
Seeing their discomfort brought back emotions and insecurities I thought I'd left behind. It reminded me of the moments when I wished I could change my skin, when I felt embarrassed, and when I allowed other people's words to influence how I saw myself.
And I realized I didn't want my children growing up believing that something about their skin made them any less beautiful, worthy, or enough.
As a pharmacist with over 20 years of experience and a licensed esthetician, I understood the science behind skin health. I knew how important thoughtful ingredients, effective formulations, and supporting the skin barrier could be.
But as a mother who had once been that insecure little girl, I understood something equally important.
We can care for our children's skin, but we must also nurture how they feel about themselves.
That realization became the foundation of Faith & Sage.
More Than Skincare. A Stronger Sense of Self.
Named after my daughters, Faith and Sage, our brand was born from a desire to create thoughtful skincare solutions for children with sensitive, eczema-prone skin.
We combine modern skincare science with carefully selected, time-honored botanicals to develop gentle formulations that support the skin's natural barrier.
But my vision has always extended beyond the physical skin.
I want children to grow up understanding that their worth isn't determined by their appearance, their skin condition, or what others may say about them.
I want them to develop the confidence to embrace their differences, the emotional awareness to understand their feelings, and the resilience to navigate life's challenges with kindness toward themselves.
That's why we created Tiny Rituals.
Inspired by the principles of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), Tiny Rituals are small, intentional moments woven into everyday skincare routines.
A moment to pause.
A gentle touch.
A reassuring affirmation.
A simple conversation about how they're feeling.
Through these little interactions, we hope to help parents create opportunities for connection, self-awareness, self-compassion, and a stronger sense of self.
Because children don't need another complicated routine.
They need to know that even on the days their skin isn't at its best, they are still enough—just as they are.

We begin by focusing on the skin—developing thoughtful formulations to support its natural barrier and help care for delicate, sensitive, eczema-prone skin.
Then, through Tiny Rituals, we invite families to nurture something equally meaningful: the emotional connection between parent and child.
We believe that when skincare becomes an opportunity to slow down, listen, and connect, even the smallest everyday moments can carry meaning.
Our hope is that these repeated moments of love and encouragement become part of how children learn to care for themselves, both inside and out.

It's the reason I started searching for better skincare solutions for my children and why I remain committed to creating products with care, intention, and compassion.
Love also means reminding our children that their skin does not define who they are.

We believe in thoughtfully reimagining skincare by bringing together time-honored botanical traditions and modern scientific knowledge.
With my background in pharmacy and esthetics, our approach is grounded in understanding skin health, carefully evaluating ingredients, and continuously refining our formulations to better support sensitive skin.

Today, as a mother of three, I see my childhood experiences through a different lens.
I can't change the moments when I felt insecure, embarrassed, or hurt by the words of others.
But I can choose what I teach my children about their skin, their emotions, and their worth.
And through Faith & Sage, I hope to help other parents do the same.
I don't expect a skincare product or a simple ritual to erase every insecurity or difficult experience a child may face.
But I believe the small moments we share with our children matter.
The words we repeat.
The patience we show.
The way we listen.
The love they feel.
Because one day, our children may not remember every product we applied or every skincare routine we followed.
But I hope they'll remember how we made them feel.
